Bathroom and Vanity LED Lighting
LED Lighting for the bathroom, wash basin and especially the mirror is a critical part of LED lighting because it effects the way you look.
For the mirror LED Lighting needs to be bright and without any glare...Ideal placement for long life LED lighting.
The two important things you need to deal with are placement of the light fixture and what type of LED bulb.
Vanity and mirror LED lighting encompasses the face with light. This gives out light from the left and right side and alos preferably from the top as well. This arrangement will reduce shadows around your chin, eyes, cheeks, and forehead. An LED wall fixture on either side of the mirror will work great. You will need the center of the LED fixture at about 2m above the floor and at least 1m apart. If you are lucky enough to have a large wall mirror then you can easily mount the LED light fixtures directly on the mirror using LED Discs that are surface mounted.
Only using ceiling mounted fixtures as a single light source is not such a good idea. Large bathrooms often need extra lighting not from just ordinary ceiling fixtures.
Color qualities and light output are all influenced by the type of bulb the fixture uses. With LED light bulbs you have choices when it comes to the color properties of the LED bulb. The two main color properties you should know about are color temperature and color rendering.
Color temperature means if the LED light source appears cool (bluish) or warm (yellowish) or neutral. This temperature is referred to as Kelvins (K). Most LED light sources used for mirror lighting range from 3,000K (warm) to 5,000K (cool). Skin tones look natural in medium to warm color temperatures.
Light distribution is another important feature for effective mirror lighting. LED lighting bulbs are an ideal applicant for mirror lighting. .
